McFarland Lions Club Activities & Projects

 Rose sale, usually held in April
 Memorial Day Chicken Barbecue at McFarland High School
 Steak feed outing for members.  This occurs in June and is at Christ the King Church.
 McFarland Family Festival Food Tent.  Some time in September.
 Birthday and anniversary Calendar.
 Eye screening for pre-schoolers.  Occurs at various times throughout the year at the request of McFarland Schools.
 Blood Drive.  Yearly pre-Christmas blood drive at Christ the King Church.

The McFarland Lions Club has been involved in many community projects over the years.  Some examples of the projects can be seen in several of the parks in McFarland.  The Brandt Park shelter house and food and beverage area were constructed by the Lions.  In Arnold Larson Park the gazebo, the brick paths, benches and landscaping were all done by the Lions.  In Lewis Park a bird viewing area was constructed that extends into the marsh.  A water fountain, donated by the Lions Club was installed in Legion Park, which is across the street from the McFarland Municipal Center. Did you ever notice the street signs in the village with the Lions Logo?  These were paid for by the Lions Club.   A shelter house was built at 3-Gates riding Stable for the handicap.  The Lions are planning to construct a shelter house at Cedar Ridge Park in the near future.  The above are examples of some of the more visible contributions made by the Lions, we also provide eyeglasses and exams for people who cannot afford them, contribute to the McFarland Food Pantry, donate money to Lions International, the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, and the Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wi...
